The place is bright and airy, the staff greet you on the spot, and the food offerings are all tastefully displayed. I ordered a liverwurst and Swiss cheese on a roll with mayo and black pepper. I can rarely get this sandwich combination while in the Bronx. The finished product was my dream come true with a generous serving of liverwurst, topped with a well orchestrated combination of Swiss cheese, mayo, and black pepper all cradled inside a soft, fresh roll. I was in heaven. If you are in the Middlevillage area and want to experience a deli sandwich that will have you moving to Queens, check out Andys. Your mouth will thank you. ”

“ Exemplary American Deli! Once a month well stop in, get a few sandwiches, a pound of potato salad, gladly throw some money in the tip jar and walk out happy. This is one of the gems of Queens. Why go to a chain place when a genuine American delicatessen with neighborhood hospitality? Their sandwiches that have ingredients that I dont even really like are delicious. Im not much for roast beef and mustard but the Bumstead is out of this world. A simple conservative Italian hero is perfect! My advice is have a look at a menu before you go because they probably have about 50 well thought out and beautifully crafted sandwiches to chose from. Oh and dont leave without trying their potato salad! Great place that is my pleasure to patronize every now and then for a nice family Saturday sandwich day! ”
